Obagi® Nu-Derm System
The Obagi Skin Health Restoration System works at the cellular level. Under the guidance of trained physicians, the Obagi Skin Health Restoration System helps to correct surface discoloration, blemishes, and stimulate cell renewal to bring back the glow and softness of healthy, younger-looking skin. The Nu-Derm System is easy to use. In the privacy of your home, your Obagi program can turn the skin you have into the skin you want. The Obagi Nu-Derm System incorporates tretinoin therapy with hydroquinone and exfoliating acids in luxurious, easy-to-use cleansers, toners and creams that are applied daily. The Obagi System helps to repair the damage within the skin: correcting hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, smoothing skin roughness and reducing pore size, and restoring skin elasticity by enhancing the production of collagen and elastin. The Nu-Derm System is also intended to bring the skin to an active and tolerant state so that it better responds to a rejuvenation or surgical procedure, heals faster, and is less likely to exhibit an undesirable post-procedure response.
Obagi® Blue Peel
The Obagi Blue Peel is a combination of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and a nonionic base, designed to achieve consistent results and reduce post peel complications. Dramatic results can be obtained with the Blue Peel. Skin conditions as superficial as on the stratum corneum or as deep as the upper reticular dermis can be corrected with the Obagi Blue Peel. This peel is excellent for epidermal and dermal pigmentation problems, tightening skin and reversing skin laxity, and it produces a mild amount of skin leveling for the correction of some wrinkles and scars. The patient’s skin must be properly conditioned prior to the Blue Peel procedure. If repeated over a period of time, the Obagi Blue Peel can achieve the same result as a deeper chemical peel or a laser. Healing occurs usually in just 7-10 days.
