PATIENT 80 – Gynecomastia
36 yo man, 6’0’’tall, weight 190 pounds who remembers disliking his enlarged breasts since he was about 12 years old. Despite weight loss and exercise, he had been unable to achieve a normal breast size. He rarely takes his shirt off in front of others. Exam showed breast enlargement with fullness along the anterior and lateral chest. Lipodystrophy was present, and breast tissue accounted for some of the breast enlargement as well. Three month post-operative photographs show the results of liposuctioning of the anterior and lateral chest wall and direct excision of the breast tissue. Approximately 500cc of fat was aspirated from each side of the chest, and resection of 30gr of breast tissue from each breast was also performed.
