After high school, Deedee began her working life as a medical receptionist; she loved the medical environment and knew she'd always work there. Following the birth of her son, Deedee attended school for Occupational Therapy. After working with many orthopedic surgeons, in both long-term care and geriatric sub-acute rehabilitation, reimbursement changed for Medicare and many jobs were lost nationwide. Deedee then began work in an aesthetics center within a plastic surgery office. While working full time, she decided to expand her education and went to school for her Aesthetics Certificate. Following her state board exam and licensure Deedee worked for three years in plastic surgery before moving to a large dermatology aesthetics center for the next five years. Deedee then joined Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists, and we are happy to have her.
As a dedicated aesthetician, Deedee sought multiple educational courses on skin care product lines, laser equipment and other aesthetic procedures. Because Deedee is a strong believer in furthering one's education, she was a founding member (and still an active member of the board) of the Wisconsin Chapter of the Advanced Aesthetic Education Association. This non-profit organization provides inexpensive educational sessions for aestheticians in the state of Wisconsin. Deedee remains an active advocate in the field of aesthetics, as well. She believes in professionalism, courtesy, and resourcefulness for both clients and coworkers. She credits her many co-workers, throughout her careers, for fostering that mindset.
Deedee believes that no matter what you do in life, every day is a learning experience. Her approach to patient care is the same; she wants her patients to learn about their skin care and treatments so that they may achieve better and longer-lasting results. Deedee doesn't promote a product or procedure without believing in it first; the products she prefers are scientifically proven. She doesn't practice a hard sell approach, but does strongly believe that you must wear sunscreen every day! “I was advised long ago,” Deedee says, “If people don't feel you're genuine, they won't hear you. That has proven so true!” Deedee approaches aesthetics the same way she does her life -- she is conscientious and believes in treating people the way she would like to be treated.
Deedee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work each day. She has learned three different Microdermabrasion machines, four different hair removal systems, and three different skin rejuvenation systems. She was excited to join Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Specialists because of the doctor’s unmatched professionalism, outstanding reputation, and state of the art equipment and procedures for skin rejuvenation. And, as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced aestheticians in the state we are happy to have her.
Using an individualized approach, Deedee looks forward to providing medically-based products, scientifically proven anti-aging procedures and positive patient education. Deedee prides herself on excellent patient care with a friendly smile.

EDUCATION:
Deedee received her professional training at the Mequon Thiensville School of Esthetics in 2000, and subsequently obtained State of Wisconsin board certification and licensure. Deedee also received her Occupational Therapy Assistant License in 1993 and carries her State of Wisconsin License. She continues to obtain continuing education credits annually for this license.
Deedee continues to further her education by participating in courses and seminars on a regular basis. She has attended over forty similar activities covering such topics as skin care products, advanced office–based procedures, and light-based therapy systems for rejuvenation.
