Patient - 62 Abdominoplasty
This woman is 42 years old, 5' 3" tall, and weighed 202 pounds prior to surgery. She disliked the excess fat in her lower abdomen. Examination showed a significant pannus with a large excess of skin; a moderate excess of fat was present in the upper and especially the lower abdomen. An extended high-lateral-tension abdominoplasty with umbilical transposition was performed; plication of the rectus muscle diastasis was performed above and below the umbilicus. Liposuction of the upper abdomen, costal margins, waist, flanks, and upper hips was performed; a total of 2500cc of fat was aspirated. Post-operative photographs show her results more than six weeks after surgery.
